Nice words, promises, wisdom and philosophical theories, but of course they are only useful if we do something with them...

The transition from theory to real practice is hard

This translation, from theory to practice, is often difficult. In theory you know what to do, in practice it is often difficult to realize. In your head you sharpen your ideals to perfection, in practice there is friction. There are people with other (or no) ideals. Sometimes you are tired and choose the easy route or temporarily park your ideals in the freezer. Certainly in our Western society we are mainly in our heads, we see that as good for the most part, but balance is, as far as I am concerned, the ideal we are looking for. Balance in rest and movement, thinking and doing, head and body.
